STUDY CHESS THE  SUCCESS WAY THIS SUMMER!  CAMPS IN FREMONT, SAN JOSE, AND SARATOGA.  SEE BELOW FOR INFO.

Success Chess summer camps focus on nurturing the chess interests of our students with a strong emphasis on good sportsmanship   The camps feature a mix of chess instruction, activities, and tournament practice - students will learn new chess skills while having fun!  We will also provide a juice and snack during our break mid-way through each class; no world champion made it to the top on an empty stomach.  :)  Camps are divided into three levels:

BEGINNER--This two week course is designed to teach chess to children who have no knowledge of the game.  Instruction will start with the very basics of piece movement and through interactive lectures, activities, and playtime, students will learn the fundamentals of the beginning, the middle and the end game.

INTERMEDIATE--This course is designed for students who already know the basics of how to play chess. Principles of tactics and strategy will be taught to prepare students for more rigorous competition.  Time will also be spent leaning the rules of a tournament and becoming familiar with official competition.

ADVANCED--This program is designed for students who have been playing chess in tournaments or have been playing chess for a number of years. Students will improve their critical thinking skills through analyzing their own games along with classic chess games.

We have tentative arrangements for the following summer camps, and we will have registration available once all details are confirmed.  In the meantime, if you'd like to be informed once registration is available, please send an email to Info@SuccessChess.Com mentioning the summer camp location you're interested in and we'll put you on the email list for that camp.
